In No Man's Sky, you will need Aronium for a refiner to get Silver, as well as to make Iridesite, so you should definitely know how to get Aronium in No Man's Sky.
This material is actually straightforward to get since you just need a blueprint and some secondary resources, but it will require some time to gather everything. Keep reading to learn all the details!

How to make Aronium in No Man's Sky
First, you will need to get the Aronium blueprint, and there are two ways to do this, namely:
- Purchase from Synthesis Laboratory for 250 Nanite Clusters.
- Find in Operations Centers or Manufacturing Facilities.
After successfully obtaining the blueprint, you can start crafting. The recipe is simple:
- Paraffinium (50)
- Cobalt (50)
Using the blueprint and these materials, you will get one Aronium. As you can see, you'll need a lot of these resources to craft just one piece, so let's talk about where to get the materials for crafting.
How to get Paraffinium
Getting Paraffinium is straightforward; there are three ways you can do it, namely:
- Farm: scan planets in outer space to find deposits and dig them up.
- Buy: Visit Trade Terminals at Outposts or Space Stations to see what's available; often, they'll have the resources you need.
- Craft: As with most other resources, you can craft Paraffinium; there are many recipes for crafting, each of which we will describe below.
Here are the recipes for Paraffinium craft:
Recipe 1 | Silver | Oxygen |
---|---|---|
Recipe 2 | Salt | Star Bulb |
Recipe 3 | Ferrite Dust | Pyrite |
Recipe 4 | Pure Ferrite | Pyrite |
Recipe 5 | Pure Ferrite | Sulphurine |
Recipe 6 | Ferrite Dust | Sulphurine |
Recipe 7 | Magnetised Ferrite | Sulphurine |
How to get Cobalt
Cobalt can be obtained by following the same steps as for Paraffinium; only the last point is different. Cobalt cannot be crafted, but only obtained by using a refiner and placing Ionized Cobalt in it. You will get two Cobalt from one Ionized Cobalt.
How to refine Aronium
To refine Aronium, you will need a lot more different resources. For all the recipes below, you will need Paraffinium, as you cannot make Aronium without it. So when you're ready, use your Refiner and use the following recipes:
Recipe 1 | Paraffinium (30) | Cobalt (60) | Tritium (20) |
---|---|---|---|
Recipe 2 | Paraffinium (30) | Ionised Cobalt (30) | Tritium (20) |
Recipe 3 | Paraffinium (30) | Cobalt (60) | Gold (10) |
Recipe 4 | Paraffinium (30) | Ionised Cobalt (30) | Gold (10) |
Recipe 5 | Paraffinium (30) | Cobalt (60) | Platinum (5) |
Recipe 6 | Paraffinium (30) | Ionised Cobalt (30) | Platinum (5) |
Recipe 7 | Paraffinium (30) | Cobalt (30) | Silver (20) |
Recipe 8 | Paraffinium (30) | Ionised Cobalt (30) | Silver (20) |
There are eight different recipes you can use, which is good news since you are more likely to have all the ingredients, and you don’t need to go anywhere to grind. The main thing you need to focus on is getting Paraffinium because, as we mentioned above, it is used in every craft.
How to use Aronium
In our opinion, the best way to use Aronium is to craft Iridesite, which can be sold for 150,000 units. To accomplish this, you will need to get the blueprint and use the following resources:
- Magno-Gold
- Granite
- Aronium
In addition, you can also place Aronium in the refiner to get 250 Silver. Use this resource to get Silver in extreme cases because, as you might have realized, crafting Aronium itself is quite expensive.
