A new halloween skin in Overwatch 2

Spooky season is almost here, and with it will come new Overwatch 2 Halloween event skins. Let's take a look at this year's offerings.

Overwatch 2 is of course getting a new mode as part of the Halloween Terror event, this year titled Junkenstein's Revenge: Wrath of the Bride. This is a follow-up to last year's event, with a new story and mechanics. These events take place in the fictional Adlersbrunn, and allow players only to use the four characters seen in the event.

Which Overwatch 2 Halloween event skins are there?

Judging by the artwork for the event, we can see Sojourn, Kiriko, Junker Queen and Ashe in new costume skins to celebrate the spooky season, as they work together to save Eichenwalde Castle from whatever new horrors have taken hold this year.

Kiriko's skin is a Legendary witch costume, according to Overwatch source OverwatchNaeri. Junker Queen dons an almost Mad Max-inspired gladiator outfit, and Sojourn is a futuristic detective. Ashe also appears to be a witch. Reaper will also allegedly have a Halloween skin this year, though it hasn't been shown just yet.

Mercy, Zenyatta, and Lucio have skins in the shop, wearing some interesting costumes that make them almost unrecognisable.

Kikrio's magical skin is in a 'Witch Kiriko Bundle', featuring the skin, a weapon charm, a highlight intro, a player icon and a name card. The bad news is, it costs 3,700 coins, currently on sale for 2,600, which works out to around $26.

As well as the DLC items, players can unlock other rewards through the Halloween events. There are challenges that unlock items such as name cards and weapon charms with jack-o-lanterns or Adlersbrunn-themed designs.

If you miss Overwatch's original Halloween skins, then you can grab them for a limited time too. A bundle including Dragon Symmetra, Coffin Bastion, Gargoyle Winston and Flying Dutchman Sigma is available in the store for 4,400 coins - equal to $44 - despite being free in the original game.

Are there any Overwatch 2 Halloween Twitch drops?

This spooky season sees even more Twitch drops for those that tune into streamers from now until November 1.

Watching two hours of content will get you a Werewolf Winston Spray, and four hours will get the Werewolf Winston Legendary Skin. Make sure you have connected your Twitch account to your Battlenet account in order to get the rewards!

When is the Overwatch 2 Halloween event?

Junkenstein's Revenge: Wrath of the Bride began on October 25, and runs through until November 8, allowing plenty of time to get the spooky seasonal rewards.

The event is a follow-up to Overwatch's original Junkenstein Revenge, which saw players having to fight back against Junkenstein's zombies and save Eichenwalde Castle. We're not sure of the details for this one just yet, but it would appear that it isn't just Dr. Junkenstein that is creating havoc this year - the Bride of Junkenstein is seeking her revenge.

It has been confirmed as an entirely new game mode, according to the President of Blizzard on Twitter. A recent post on the Overwatch blog shows a handwritten note explaining the recent situation in Aldersbrunn, and foreshadows this year's events:

"In any case, the preparations for our autumn festivals keep me busy enough to put the thoughts out of mind. Which reminds me, when the celebrations are through, I must ask one of the guards to look into the strange noises coming from the old quarters of the castle. I pray the rats have not made another nest!"
