Developed by Highwire Games and published by Victura, Six Days in Fallujah aims to offer an immersive and realistic depiction of the Second Battle of Fallujah. The game has generated significant attention due to its controversial subject matter and dedication to authenticity.
The game is set to launch on Steam Early Access on June 22, and its full release is expected across PC and next-gen consoles in 2024 - but does that include the PlayStation 5?
Six Days in Fallujah - PlayStation 5 compatibility
The development team behind Six Days in Fallujah have stated that a version of the game will be available on next-gen consoles from Sony and Microsoft - confirmation that a PlayStation 5 and Xbox X/S version is in the pipeline.
However, no fixed release date has been announced, though, with the early access release, the developers have confirmed that the game will be available on consoles when the game is fully launched on PC in 2024.
It's a while to go yet, but at least when it does arrive on consoles, it will have already had an extended testing period on PC.
Will we get a PlayStation 4 version?
While a PlayStation 5 version is on the cards, Six Days in Fallujah making it to the PlayStation 4 seems highly unlikely.
The game's PC version is a visual feast, with atmospheric lighting, detailed and realistic weapons and vehicles, and procedurally generated maps that feel like they have been handcrafted.
Launched back in 2013, the PS4 simply won't have the firepower for this next-gen tactical shooter. So, if you are still holding on to your ol' faithful, hoping you can play Six Days in Fallujah, it's time to let go.
