Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 features a series of Operations missions that challenge even the most skilled players. With six missions, you'll need to rely on your teamwork and combat abilities. While some missions are straightforward, others will test your limits.
Because the difficulty level of each Operation varies, it is important to find out what you are getting into before you start. In this guide, you will learn all Operations in Space Marine 2 sorted by their difficulty level from the easiest to hardest.
All Operations Ranked
Operation mode offers six unique challenges, each with its own objectives and hurdles. Remember that the difficulties you encounter in these missions will vary based on your chosen difficulty level.
Inferno
Mission Objectives
- Set up explosives to trap the incoming Tyranid swarm.
- Trigger the ambush at the right moment to destroy as many enemies as possible.
The Inferno is the first mission designed primarily as a tutorial, making it the easiest Operation in Space Marine 2. Your tasks in this operation include blowing up a Promethium Refinery and then ambushing enemies through a series of objectives.
Even though you will encounter many enemies, the mission is easy and is suitable for familiarizing yourself with the game.
Decapitation
Mission Objectives
- Place bombs on the bridge to prepare for an explosion.
- Blow up the bridge when the Hive Tyrant is on it to defeat it.
The Decapitation mission increases the challenge by requiring players to eliminate a Tyranid swarm and blow up a bridge, targeting a Hive Tyrant. While deploying the charges, you may encounter difficulties, especially under enemy attack.
You can easily succeed in this mission with a good team and coordination. It is a fairly straightforward operation if you keep your team well-coordinated and use your surroundings to your advantage.
Fall of Atreus
Mission Objectives
- Head toward the old ship that will be used to crash into the enemy tower.
- Prepare the ship, the Sword of Atreus, for launch into the tower.
The Fall of Atreus is where the challenge begins to ramp up. In this mission, you are going to fight against the Chaos forces. Completing a task is highly dependent on the coordination of the members of a team and their skills.
If you have strong armor and can handle your weapons, you can easily make it through the battle. This Operation highlights the importance of balancing offensive and defensive tactics and encourages you to develop skills in both areas.
Vox Liberatis
Mission Objectives
- Find out what's blocking the communication signals.
- Get rid of the enemies causing the problem.
Vox Liberatis is a tough challenge due to the sheer number of enemies, including Tyranids and Chaos warriors. The objectives in this Operation are lengthy, requiring you to capture points and hold your position for extended periods.
Ballistic Engine
Mission Objectives
- Get a Nova Cannon warhead from the military depot.
- Transport the warhead by train to hit the hive city overrun by Tyranids.
Although Ballistic Engine is the last mission, it isn’t the hardest. The main challenges come from environmental conditions, like low visibility due to sandstorms and surprise attacks from enemies.
While managing these challenges isn't easy, it's achievable with the right approach. Stay vigilant and adapt to the changing conditions to successfully complete this mission.
Reliquary
Mission Objectives
- Move through the tunnels under the compound.
- Destroy the warp beacon to stop enemy reinforcements from arriving.
Reliquary is the most challenging mission in Space Marine 2, featuring the game's highest difficulty level. Chaos enemies here are tough and display impressive strength and resilience.
The Operation is lengthy and ends with the battle against the Heldrake, a dangerous opponent that uses both fire and charges. To defeat Reliquary, you'll need to plan your strategy carefully and have the patience to endure relentless enemy attacks.
