Spider-Man 2 has finally arrived, web-swinging its way into becoming a strong Game of the Year contender. The fantasy of becoming New York's finest superhero couldn't be complete without getting a high-five from the people that inhabit it, so we'll teach you how to interact with Spider-Man 2 citizens.

Interacting with citizens in Spider-Man 2 is nothing new for the franchise, with that feature being present in both 2018's Marvel's Spider-Man and 2020's Miles Morales Spider-Man. Still, if you're new to the series, you might be interested in reassuring the fine people of New York that Spidey is out there looking for them!

How to interact with citizens in Spider-Man 2

Interacting with citizens in Spider-Man 2 is super easy. Just like previous titles, you'll need to walk around a populated area filled with NPCs. Eventually, one will approach you, whether you're controlling Peter or Miles, when this happens, you'll see a prompt above their heads, you then need to press the Triangle button to interact with them.

It's that easy! The interactions can vary depending on the NPC. Some will want to take a photo with you, others will simply high-five you. Regardless, it's fun seeing our main protagonists interact with random citizens, especially in the plethora of different suits you can wear!

As you can see, interacting with citizens in Spider-Man 2 isn't exactly rocket science. While the interactions can be neat to witness, there's no big easter egg or trophy waiting for you if you do decide to become a man of the people, or rather, a Spidey of the people.
