Puzzles have always been a sizeable part of Insomniac's Spider-Man games, but not everyone is a fan. If you're tired of puzzles breaking up the action in Spider-Man 2 and want to skip them, there may be hope. In this guide, you'll learn how to skip puzzles in Spider-Man 2.
Game developers have often turned to puzzles as a way to break the tedium of gameplay; web-swinging and crime-fighting are all well and good, but they're even better when you take a break to do the video game equivalent of eating your vegetables. That's the theory, anyway - some players will feel differently.
Before we get into the guide, learn more about the game with our guide to performing finishing moves. We can also teach you how to heal so you can stay in the fight for longer. All of this and much, much more are included in our Spider-Man 2 guides hub!
Can you skip puzzles in Spider-Man 2?
There's no option to directly skip puzzles in Spider-Man 2, but they can be made much easier, effectively skipping the 'hard part' of this aspect of the game. To do so, you'll need to navigate to gameplay settings from the pause menu and switch the 'simplify puzzles' toggle to 'on'.
There are plenty of other options in the menus to make your experience with the game more pleasant. Toggling the simplify puzzles option will, as expected, make the game's puzzle segments much more manageable; it won't let you skip them outright, but they'll be easy enough to be less of a chore. With simpler puzzles, you can get back to swing-kicking and web-throwing your enemies around New York.
Some players will scoff at the thought but toggles like these are a great accessibility feature on top of just letting players get back to the aspects of the game that they enjoy most at the difficulty they want. Gaming should be about enjoying games in the way you want to, after all - especially if the game is single-player.
That's everything we know about skipping puzzles in Spider-Man 2. If more options are added in future, we'll be sure to update this guide with the latest - for now, we've got plenty of other Spider-Man 2 guides for you to enjoy. From changing the language spoken by the characters to skipping cutscenes, we've got you covered.
