How to unlock Spider-Man 2 Ultimate Difficulty
To unlock Ultimate Difficulty in Spider-Man 2, you simply need to complete the main story mode.
After the credits have rolled on Peter and Miles' latest adventure, you're allowed free access back into the open world once more. Before that, however, there's a screen popping up, as you can see in the image below.
It tells you that Ultimate Difficulty has now been unlocked, and can be accessed by starting a new run of the story mode.
What is Ultimate Difficulty in Spider-Man 2?
Just like other difficulty modes in the game, Ultimate Difficulty in Spider-Man 2 is a new way to augment how hard the gameplay is.
You can expect enemies to pack more of a punch, taking out larger chunks of XP per hit. On top of that, enemy attack sensors—the good old-fashioned Spidey-sense—will no doubt appear for a shorter time, meaning your reactions need to be lightning fast.
Be prepared for much harder fights, especially with the various bosses in the game. There's no question that getting through missions in Spider-Man 2 will become a whole lot harder with Ultimate Difficulty applied!
