September 8, 2023: Is Creation Club in Starfield? Find out what we know now Starfield has made its full public release!

Wondering whether Creation Club is in Starfield? Then this is the guide for you! Bethesda's first-party Creation Club has been used for years now to add user-generated content to Skyrim and Fallout 4. It's as close to mods as the console versions of Bethesda games tend to get, so it's no surprise that there's demand for it in Starfield.

In this guide, we'll break down everything we know so far about the existence of Creation Club in Starfield. Remember, this could easily pave the way for a tonne of user-generated features on the Xbox version of the game, adding to the game's already hefty length.

Is Creation Club in Starfield?

Bethesda has yet to confirm the presence of Creation Club in Starfield. That said, there's a very good chance that the feature will re-appear in Starfield.

That's based on some early leaks spotted on Reddit and Twitter. The new Steam EULA for Starfield makes reference to 'Creation Credits,' which some keen-eyed fans speculate is a reference to Creation Club. This was first spotted by user StarfieldBeyond on Twitter, potentially hinting at a way to purchase user-created mods using in-game credits.

Of coruse, Bethesda has yet to address this publicly, meaning we still don't know for certain whether Creation Club will make a return in Starfield. It's all but certain, though, given Creation Club featured heavily in Skyrim and Fallout 4, even on console.

How will Creation Club work in Starfield?

We expect Starfield's Creation Club to work very similarly to that seen in Fallout 4, albeit with a few changes, as hinted at by those EULA leaks.

As per the Bethesda website, Creation Club is a portal in which players can download content created by other members of the community, fully compatible with your game.

However these don't come for free, which is where Creation Credits step into play. This is a separate microtransaction that is used as a currency in exchange for various Creation Club releases. Since the Starfield EULA on Steam references Creation Credits, it all but guarantees Creation Club will return in its existing form.

This is more of a feature for console versions of Starfield, given PC users can easily head to sites like Nexus Mods to download the latest Starfield mods free of charge. It ensures the game can live on after you've completed its quests and explored the galaxy, even if you need to pay for those add-ons.
