How to use medication to heal lung damage in Starfield

The first option for healing lung damage is to look at curing this ailment yourself by utilising various medications that exist in the game world.

These are as follows:

1. Injectors

Perhaps the simplest way of combating this particular health issue is to use an item called an injector. This is basically an aid item that heals all yellow-icon type afflictions such as:

  • Brain injury
  • Concussion
  • Heatstroke
  • Hypothermia
  • Poisoning;
  • Radiation poisoning
  • Lung damage

You can purchase injectors from medical suppliers in the game, or even loot them from containers and off of dead bodies that you leave in your wake.

Alternatively, you can create your own injector at a pharmaceutical station in the game. This can be done at the material cost of one metabolic agent and one membrane.

2. Snake oil

This ointment provides a temporary oxygen recovery level of 20% for a 2-minute time period, which can help to alleviate lung damage. It can also be used to cure other health issues like brain injury, concussions, and hypothermia.

Snake oil can also be purchased from medical vendors within the game.

Visiting a doctor to heal lung damage in Starfield

Another way of dealing with lung damage is to visit a doctor in Starfield and use credits to pay for treatment to all afflictions.

One suitable location is the Reliant Medical Centre in New Atlantis, which can be found at the tail end of the Residential District.

All you have to do is make your way inside the hospital with your character and talk to a doctor. They will then assist you with medical treatment for a sum of credits that will depend on the extend of the damage you’ve received in game.

Now, a total of 500 credits should cure all your afflictions (i.e. not just limited to lung damage), whereas a larger sum of 750 credits is needed for complete healing if you have physical wounds that you picked up from battle.

Despite the fact that this method of healing lung damage takes longer to achieve as a result of the time it takes to travel to New Atlantis, you can be assured that it’s an effective way to deal with this sort of ailment, especially if you don’t have any injectors or snake oil on hand to treat yourself.
