Shattered Space DLC for Starfield introduces unique gameplay mechanics, including changes to how certain systems function compared to the base game.

One of the notable differences is how the bounty system works in specific areas like Dazra City, which is located on Va'ruun'kai. This article will guide you through the steps to effectively remove your bounty in Dazra and restore your reputation there.

How to Remove Dazra Bounty in Starfield: Shattered Space

In Starfield: Shattered Space, removing the Dazra Bounty serves to restore your ability to interact normally within Dazra City, especially after committing crimes that lead to a bounty being placed on your character.

When a bounty is active, guards and local law enforcement will pursue you, and shops may refuse to deal with you. Clearing this bounty will stop guards from attacking you and allow you to move freely in the city again.

The process for clearing the Dazra Bounty differs from that of other locations. Players can use bounty kiosks to pay off their fines and clear their records in most areas.

You can pay the fine directly and instantly remove the bounty without interacting with guards or law enforcement. However, since Dazra doesn't have these kiosks, you'll need to find other ways.

Here’s a breakdown of the most effective ways to remove a Dazra bounty:

1. Wait 24 Hours and Surrender

One of the most straightforward ways to remove your Dazra bounty is to leave the city temporarily.

If you've racked up a bounty and everyone in Dazra is hostile, head off-world and wait for 24 in-game hours. After this, when you return, the guards will no longer attack on sight, allowing you to approach them and surrender peacefully.

This will result in your character spending time in jail, which clears the bounty. However, it comes at the cost of losing around 650 XP and forfeiting any stolen goods you might have acquired during your exploits. This method is reliable but comes with the downside of losing time and XP.

2. Escape and Return Later

This option is almost similar to the first one, as both approaches result in the same penalties: XP loss, jail time, and confiscation of stolen items.

However, this suits players with higher bounties where guards are hostile. When you’ve committed a major crime, the aggression of the guards can make it impossible to surrender peacefully right away.

If the bounty is high enough that guards attack you on sight, try leaving Dazra entirely by spaceship. Jump to a different system, wait for 24 hours (or sleep for that duration), and then return to Dazra.

This method allows the guards to cool off and no longer be hostile when you return. Upon your return, the guards will still recognize your crime but won’t be aggressive unless you fight back. Engaging them will increase your bounty and make the situation worse.

3. Using Console Commands (PC Only)

If you're on a PC, you can bypass the system entirely using console commands.

By entering specific commands, you can instantly pay off the bounty without going through the process of surrendering or losing XP. To use this method:

  • Press the tilde key (~) to open the console command window.
  • Type player.paycrimegold 0 0 [faction code]. For example, the faction ID for House Va’ruun (which includes Dazra) can be one of the following:
    • House Va’ruun (1): 002758C5
    • House Va’ruun (2): 0107BDB6
    • Dazra Ship Services Vendor Faction: 010973BF

Remember that using console commands will disable achievements for the rest of your playthrough, so weigh that if you're trying to complete certain ones.

4. Reverting to a Previous Save

If you prefer not to lose XP or use console commands, you can always load an earlier save before you got the bounty.

The downside here is that this can set you back significantly if you’ve made a lot of progress since the crime was committed. If your most recent save point is several hours back, this might not be preferable.

However, if you're willing to sacrifice some in-game progress, it’s a foolproof way to remove the bounty without any penalties.

And that’s a wrap on how to clear the Dazra bounty in Starfield: Shattered Space. Choose the option that works best for you, and happy adventuring in the galaxy!
