How to complete Toadofsky songs in Melody Bay
To help Toadofsky complete his symphony, you’ll need to play three different songs for him in Melody Bay. The game will provide you with clues on how to play these songs as you progress through the story, but we’ve gathered all the info you need in this guide.
After playing the third song for Toadofsky, you will be given the freedom to compose the final part of his symphony. Here are the notes you’ll need to play for the first three songs.
Before we begin, to help you read the notes a bit better, you need to know that Toadofsky's melodies feature a total of seven notes. The minigame consists of Mario jumping on top of a tadpole as soon as he hits a specific note.
The order is as follows: Mi, Re, Do, Ti, La, So, Fa. With that said, let's begin.
Frogfucius’ Suite #18
This is the first song you’ll need to perform for Toadofsky. You can find out what notes to play by reading a poster on Frogfucius’ island.
The notes for this song are So, La, Mi, Re, Do, Re, Do, Re. After hearing this melody, Toadofsky will give Mario the Alto Card. This card gives Mario’s party access to a shop in Tadpole Pond called the Juice Bar.
Moleville Blues
In the Moleville area, return to the location that was destroyed by Croco to find some singing workers. Pay close attention to their lyrics as they will reveal the notes for your next performance in Melody Bay.
The correct notes for the Moleville Blues are Mi, Do, So, Do, Re, La, Ti, Do. Play the song correctly and you’ll obtain the Tenor Card, granting you more benefits from the Juice Bar.
Monstro Town Melody
This is the most difficult song to figure out since the notes will not be spelt out for you on screen. Instead, you’ll need to figure out the melody by ear.
When you get to Monstro Town, head to Monstermama’s house and look for the Starslap upstairs. Speak with the Starslap and it will dance to a song that sounds a lot like the tadpoles at Melody Bay. If you listen closely, the notes for this song at Monstermama’s house are La, Ti, Do, Re, So, Do, Re, Mi.
Play these notes for Toadofsky and you will be rewarded with the Soprano Card. This card will give you access to even more items and discounts at the Juice Bar.
