The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is the latest installment in the Zelda franchise for the Nintendo Switch. Featuring the titular princess as the main player character in the story, the game features new mechanics unique to Zelda, such as creating echoes of furniture and many other things such as rocks and enemies to aid her throughout her journey to save Hyrule.
Zelda will have to use everything at her disposal to aid Link and the rest of the kingdom, so here's a quick guide to kick-start your mastery of using Echoes!
What are Echoes?
Echoes are replicas of things that can be summoned by Zelda throughout the game. These Echoes are useful when solving puzzles, traversing unreachable areas, and defeating various enemies. With the help of her fairy companion Tri and the Tri Rod, Zelda can summon Echoes to help her in her quest to save Link and the rest of the kingdom.
How to Use Echoes
The fairy Tri will join Zelda at the beginning of her journey and will provide her with the Tri Rod. The Tri Rod can be used to learn Echoes of things and creatures around Hyrule. Just walk up to anything that shimmers and the option to learn it as an Echo will pop up. Pressing ZR will let Zelda learn the Echo through the use of the Tri Rod. Once learned, Echoes can be summoned by pressing Y. Zelda can erase her created Echoes by pressing ZR again when near it. If needed, Zelda can also erase all her active Echoes at once by holding the ZR button.
As you progress through the game, the amount of Echoes that Zelda can summon increases along with Tri's power. Holding down the Right directional button displays the complete list of Zelda's learned Echoes. From there, you can select which Echo you need by navigating to it using the Right thumbstick. Releasing the Right directional button finalizes the selected Echo and swaps it with the active Echo.
Where to learn Echoes?
Echoes are everywhere in Hyrule. From enemies to objects and platforms, Zelda can learn Echoes of almost everything throughout her adventure in Hyrule. Be watchful on checking items and objects, as they can be learned as Echoes as long as they shimmer.
Utilizing Echoes is one thing and Zelda and Tri will have to use their wits and powers to mix and match the perfect set of Echoes to solve puzzles and reach new areas as they save Hyrule.
Regardless of whether you will be sticking to one Echo throughout the game or you'll use more of Tri's power to learn as many Echoes as you can, be sure to check our The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom guides and follow Gfinity Esports for the latest news and updates.
