Many beginners in Black Ops 6 mistakenly believe that racking up kills is the key to gaining more XP. However, leveling up isn’t just about being the team’s top slayer. With the return of Calling Card Challenges and new objectives like Mastery Badges, multiple ways exist to earn XP beyond kill counts.
There’s more to gaining XP than that, though. So, if you want to progress faster and utilize the grind most efficiently, here’s the Ultimate Guide to Levelling Up Fast in Black Ops 6.
Double-XP Tokens and Double-XP Weekends
This is a no-brainer, but it deserves a mention. Double-XP Tokens are usable items that double the XP you earn per game. They’re categorized according to the active time, ranging from 15 to 60 minutes.
Though Black Ops 6 regularly rewards you with these tokens on various accomplishments, you can also look for launch offers to gain extra Double-XP Tokens.
Another efficient way to increase the XP you earn per game is to keep an eye out for Call of Duty’s Double-XP Weekends. With the release of a new game, CoD has typically kicked things off with a Double-XP Weekend—usually within the first two weeks.
Daily Challenges
The trick to progressing faster in Black Ops 6 isn’t aiming for high-reward challenges (though they’re crucial) but consistently using specific objectives that could potentially be considered free XP farms.
Your Daily Challenges are an excellent example here. Despite being less in quantity, these challenges are pretty straightforward. Hardly requiring 10 to 15 minutes daily, these objectives give you an additional 5 to 7K XP push for the day.
Black Ops 6’s New Mastery Badge System
Black Ops 6’s new Mastery Badge System is arguably one of the best ways to quickly gain a ridiculous amount of XP.
Simply put, the Mastery Badge system has specific ‘badges’ for each weapon in the game. These are unlocked as you reach some eliminations with the said loadout. For instance, if you're playing with the XM4 and haven’t unlocked any Mastery Badge yet, you’d have to gain 100 eliminations for your first one—resulting in an additional 1000 XP.
As you progress higher, you will end up earning greater XP. To use the Mastery Badge system effectively, try to mix things up. Keep a goal of unlocking a particular badge for a weapon—shift to another one after. Since these “accolades” are also available for your lethal and tactical equipment, ensure you take advantage of them alongside your primary and secondary weapons.
To access the Mastery Badges, head over to the Barracks. From there, select Challenges and hit on the Mastery Badges option.
The Hardcore Playlist
Playing different game modes, such as Domination, Hardpoint, Face-Off Mosphit, etc., in Hardcore has multiple advantages. We’ll break each one down below.
When stacking greater XP per game, the medals you earn play a role. While they can also be earned through the Core playlist, Hardcore makes things easier, especially with the reduced health bar. So even if you aren’t maneuvering much throughout the game, you can still arguably get a decent amount of kills—thereby more medals.
Another reason that gives Hardcore the upper hand is the Weapon Challenges. Players must attain a specified number of headshots to unlock the Military Camos for any weapon in Black Ops 6. To do so, they drop off into Hardcore playlists as they’re typically a one-shot kill due to the lowered health bar. Making things relatively easier.
Octane’s Deadly XP Earning Strategy For Black Ops 6
If you’ve watched some content regarding Call of Duty titles, chances are you’ve come across Octane—a widely regarded CoD Content Creator and a Former CDL Player.
He recently devised an elite strategy to farm more XPs per game. Here’s what he did:
- Equip the Strategist Speciality for your Class Setup; this will help you earn more objective scores per game. Drop exclusively into Kill Confirmed with the Strategist activated because each tag guarantees an additional +50 XP.
- Equip the Scrambler Field Upgrade. This will allow you to gain an additional +15 XP for every assist you get within the upgrade’s radius.
- Use Decoys with Tactical Expert. Tactical Expert will allow you to equip 3 Decoys for your load-out. Place them at locations where they’ll get triggered easily. All the Decoys combined (when activated) provide a total of +45 XP.
- Use Non-Lethal Scorestreaks. Specifically, the UAV, Counter UAV, and Harp, as each elimination with either of those streaks active, guarantees a +15 XP.
- Use the Dispatcher Perk For Your Scorestreaks. This complements the previous step. Using the Dispatcher Perk decreases the effort to unlock Non-Lethal Scorestreaks, so you’ll gain the above goodies faster.
According to the popular streamer, he’s garnered an additional +6,000 XP in every game he’s played using the abovementioned steps. The XP you earn differs according to your skills as a player. Nonetheless, it’s a great (passive) way to earn significant XP.
