The long-awaited Monster Hunter Wilds x Street Fighter 6 collaboration has landed, and hunters are already gearing up to unlock the legendary Akuma skin.
This crossover doesn’t just let you wear his armor; it turns Akuma into a fully-fledged playable character with his own unique moveset. But getting him isn’t as simple as slaying a monster. You’ll need to complete a series of objectives before you can tap into the real meat of the collab.
Find and Unlock the Akuma Armor Set in Monster Hunter Wilds
To begin, you’ll need to speak with the NPC Quinn in the Oilwell Basin, explore the area for clues, track down Akuma, and complete the special Arena Quest he gives you.
This guide will walk you through each step to help you unlock the Akuma armor effortlessly.
How to Start the Akuma Quest in Monster Hunter Wilds
To start the Akuma Quest in Monster Hunter Wilds, find Quinn in the Oilwell Basin, specifically in Azuz, The Everforge.

+ 4Open your World Map and head straight to Azuz. Locate the NPC named Quinn, and he will tell you about finding dead monsters scattered across the Oilwell Basin. He also recounts his story about seeing a “Hunter” who fought monsters using nothing but his fists.
We all know who that is. But let’s keep going.
Where to Find Traces of Dead Monsters in the Oilwell Basin
After speaking with Quinn, head to Area 5 and then Area 11 to find traces of the dead monsters.
click to enlarge + 4Before that, feel free to chat with other NPCs in the Basin. Some of the optional dialogue is genuinely funny, though you can safely skip it if you're focused on the mission.
Now, make your way into the Middle and Upper Strata of the map; these are the central and upper sections of the Oilwell Basin. Fast travel to a nearby Pop-Up Camp and make your way to Area 5 and then Area 11. Once you’re there, your hunter and Alma will engage in a bit of dialogue that nudges the story forward.
After finding both sets of traces, it’s time to speak with Maki in The Everforge.
Where to find Akuma in Monster Hunter Wilds
Akuma is located in a hidden camp in Area 18 of the Oilwell Basin.
click to enlarge + 4As you delve deeper underground, you’ll hear unmistakable fighting grunts and the sound of fists meeting flesh; that’s your cue.
Follow the sounds into a narrow passage tucked away in the terrain. Inside, you’ll find Akuma, staring at a wall and surrounded by three Devil’s Blight. Fitting, right?
How to Unlock the Akuma Armor in Monster Hunter Wilds
To unlock the Akuma Armor, you must complete the Arena Quest “Demonic Strength” five times.
click to enlarge + 4In this quest, you’ll face off against a Tempered Ajarakan using a limited selection of weapons. Here, you’ll also temporarily don the Akuma armor and use his unique moveset to take down monsters, an experience as thrilling as it sounds.
Completing the quest rewards you with SF6 Tickets, which can be used at the Smithy (Gemma) to forge the Akuma Armor permanently.
Once you’ve completed the quest, return to Akuma and speak with him to wrap things up. From there, you can replay the Arena Mission as many times as you'd like.
