The Warzone Heavy Armor public event is another mechanic expected to spice up battle royale gameplay even further.
Arriving in Season 3 Reloaded, Call of Duty devs have added a wealth of new content into Warzone ranging from the return of Rebirth Island to the MORS sniper rifle capable of dealing huge damage at long distances. Alongside new weapons and a battle pass, a new public event exclusive to Rebirth Resurgence modes is here.
In this guide, find everything there is to know about the Warzone Heavy Armor public event including how it works and whether it's worth doing during a match.
Warzone Heavy Armor Public Event Explained
The start of a Heavy Armor public event is revealed when players start dropping into the match. When active, it provides additional protection in the form of an extra armour plate available throughout the entirety of the match. Here's the full list of how the extra plate changes gameplay:
- Armour health is increased from 150 to 200 hit points
- The extra plate appears regardless of which vest is selected
- The additional plate is available when a match begins
- The public event doesn't affect players using the Tempered Plate Carrier which will have three plates
- Extra armour means a higher time to kill and requires more ammo to secure the kill
Warzone Heavy Armor Public Event Release Date
According to a blog post, Raven Software says the Warzone Heavy Armor public event will arrive 'in-season', all but confirming a Season 3 Reloaded release date.
It will be interesting to see how an extra armour plate impacts gameplay as players will need to find new tactics in order to be the last ones standing at the end.
