The World Series of Warzone event is back in action much to the delight of the competitive community. Warzone 2 players from across the globe have the opportunity to win thousands in prize money and a chance to compete in the first Activision-sanctioned in-person event for Call of Duty's battle royale.
Starting with the Season 3 update, players had the ability to drop into the action for a chance to qualify for the main event. Now, the next stage of the competition is about to begin.

World Series of Warzone 2023 format
The format for the World Series of Warzone takes a bit of understanding so we've broken it down so you know how you could end up at the largest Warzone LAN event ever. Here's a closer look at the format.
Stage 1 - April/May
- In-game Open - Trios will earn points through playing matches. The top 50 will advance to the qualifying stage.
- Qualifiers - The top 25 will advance to the regional finals.
- Regional Finals - The qualified teams will compete against 25 invited squads for a chance to advance to the Stage 2 regional finals. The top 25 advance to Stage 2 while the bottom 25 move to the Stage 2 Qualifiers stage.
Stage 2 - June/July
- In-game Open - Trios will earn points through playing matches. The top 50 will advance to the qualifying stage.
- Qualifiers - The top 25 will advance to the regional finals.
- Regional Finals - The top 15 from each region qualify for the Global FInals. The bottom 25 move to the Last-Chance Qualifiers.
Last-Chance Qualifiers - July
This stage of the event sees 15 invited squads join the remaining teams for one last shot at making it to the main event. Five teams from each region will secure a place in the Global Finals.
Global Finals and Solo YOLO - September
This is where the big money is earned. The best teams in the world will take part in a LAN event to see which squad is the best on the planet.
Additionally, the Solo YOLO match is back! 150 players drop into the action and instead of the prize pool splitting evenly between all of the squads, the winner of the match is the only one to walk away with the cash.

Activision has announced a total of $1.2 million is on the line throughout the event. Here's a closer look at the prize breakdown:
- Four Regional FInals - $150,000 for Europe and North America.
- Global Finals - $600,000

World Series of Warzone 2023 scoring system
In order to advance to the next round, you need to score some points. But how do you do that? Here's all the intel you need to know:
- 1 kill = 1 point
Scoring kills and earning a high placement is the key to achieving success in the World Series of Warzone. Depending on placement, you can earn score multipliers:
- 1st: 2x multiplier
- 2nd-5th: 1.8x multiplier
- 6th-10th: 1.6x multiplier
- 11th-20th: 1.4x multiplier
- 21st-35th: 1.2x multiplier
- 36th-50th: 1x multiplier
