You can fuse building materials together and create a vehicle of your choice which is something very unique and impressive. Read more about it in the guide below!
How to make a raft in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Players can build any vehicle except horses in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, thanks to the Ultrahand and Fuse ability. Yes, this includes rafts! You can combine various building materials to build your first raft. Here is a step-by-step guide to help you understand how building a vehicle works in the upcoming game:
- Obtain the Ultrahand ability as you progress through the story
- Obtain building materials like logs and branches
- Use Ultrahand on your logs and branches to create the base of the boat
- You now need to build a sail or fan - the choice is yours. You can find both of these items during exploration, but making a custom sail is also possible using building materials
- Once your raft has a sail, you can make Link attack it to activate the contraption
The new Fuse and Ultrahand mechanics help add a layer of sandbox-style strategy to the upcoming Zelda game, which is very impressive. You can go wild with your creations and even create cars or amphibious vehicles that can traverse on both ground and water.
What vehicles can you build in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?
You can build rafts, cars, air balloons, submarines, and more. Nintendo showed off only a fraction of what is possible in Tears of the Kingdom, and you might be able to build more advanced vehicles like a battering ram or even an aeroplane.
The limits of the new Ultrahand ability are dependent on your creativity. There are limitations to the new ability that you need to be aware of, though. If you create a battery-powered vehicle, you will constantly drain the charge. Similarly, if you build a submarine, you may still run out of breath over time unless the game allows you to have airtight contraptions.
