How to get Amiibo rewards in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Nintendo announced a new Link Amiibo in tandem with the release of Tears of the Kingdom on May 13. Along with the tweet announcing the new Amiibo, Nintendo shed more light on the functionality of Amiibo figures in Tears of the Kingdom. It showcases how scanning the Amiibo makes you eligible to receive various rewards in the game, based on the scanned accessory.
The specific details on how to redeem Amiibo rewards in Tears of the Kingdom are yet to be unveiled by Nintendo. However, a similar mechanic was available in the previous game, Breath of the Wild. So, the return of this mechanic is expected to allow us to receive any particular reward in their game inventory after scanning the relevant Amiibo for that reward.
If this rewards system works the same as it did in Breath of the Wild, we can expect to receive in-game currency, gear, consumables, and other collectibles by scanning both Zelda-themed and non-Zelda Amiibos. In fact, it appears that Zelda-themed Amiibos can unlock some exciting skins for Link’s paraglider in the game.

The entire list of rewards that can be redeemed by scanning Zelda and non-Zelda Amiibos is yet to be disclosed. However, we can be sure from the Nintendo tweet that there are going to be Paraglider skins that Link can use to soar through the skies of Hyrule.
