There are numerous fuse combinations in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, and with the game now out in the open, you can craft all kinds of items using the simplest materials to gain the upper hand over enemies you encounter while exploring Hyrule.
Of course, you can fight with a simple stick if you want to, but we would recommend you upgrade this improvised weapon. The fuse mechanic will help you make better weapons, or even get a different move set.
Best fuse weapon combinations in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
If you're after a full list of Tears of the Kingdom fuse combinations, we've got you covered:
- Primitive Hammer - If you combine a branch with a boulder, you will get a hammer of sorts. This weapon has increased attack damage and higher durability.
- Long Spear - This weapon can be made with a stick and a pitchfork. It looks like a very big spear that deals more damage and has an incredibly long range.
- Club - Combine a stick with a log and you have a simple but effective club. This is probably the simplest weapon to fuse, but it’s not that effective.
- Blue Boss Boko Axe - Combine a Soldier's Broadsword and a Blue Boss Bokoblin Horn to create a Blue Boss Boko Axe.
- Soldier II Reaper - Combine a Strong Zonaite Sword and a Soldier Construct II Horn.
- Boss Boko Blade - Combine a Soldier's Claymore and Boss Bokoblin Horn.
- Two-handed Sword and Shield - Combine to create a two-in-one weapon armed with plenty of defensive properties.
- Zora-Spear Claymore - Combine a Royal Claymore and a Zora Spear.
- Captain III Reaper - Combine a Strong Zonaite Sword and Captain Construct III Horn.
These are all the weapon fuse combinations we know so far, but each of them is unique and has its own niche. The spear is the hardest to get, but it’s the strongest. The club is easy to craft and is still quite useful. However, there are also other things you can fuse.
Best fuse shield combinations in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
There are also various shields that you can create with the fuse mechanic. It seems that you are able to attach certain items to your shield, and some of these combinations can be used as weapons.
- Puffshroom Shield - This is a shield with a puffshroom. If any enemy hits it, the puffshroom will explode and everything within a few metres will be covered with the smoke. After that, you’ll be able to hit disoriented enemies on their backs.
- Stone Shield - This is a shield with a stone attached to it. We can’t say for sure what it does, but it seems to be some kind of a defensive upgrade.
- Rocket Shield - Combine a Strong Zonaite Shield and a Rocket to create a shield that allows you to jump into the air to evade enemy attacks.
Other revealed fuse combinations in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Also, there are some combinations that you could see in various videos and screenshots related to the game. However, it is still unclear what items you’ll need to fuse to get such weapons.
- Stick with a Gun - A stick that has a small gun attached to its end. It looks like a shooting weapon.
- Flamethrower Shield - A shield with a stone dragon head that breathes fire. Perhaps we will be able to put this flamethrower-like item on a stick.
As you can see, there are some pretty interesting and powerful combinations that will make battles more diverse. However, this is just the tip of the iceberg, and you will likely find more effective fuse combinations in the game.
