The release of the long-awaited Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is just around the corner! Therefore, in this article, we will tell you what the Zelda Tears of the Kingdom download size is so that you are ready to download it.
Zelda Tears of the Kingdom will take up more space than Breath of the Wild. And This is not surprising, considering how many new things Nintendo has added to this much anticipated sequel.
What is the Zelda Tears of the Kingdom download size?
As first reported on the Tears of the Kingdom Reddit earlier this year, the game might require up to 18.2 GB of memory, making it the biggest Switch-exclusive title to date in terms of space use. For example, Breath of the Wild’s size was only 14.4 GB, and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 only took around 14 GB.
However, it seems like they have recently decreased the download size of Tears of the Kingdom to 16 GB, though. That’s something we are happy to see! But we hope that this does not mean that the developers have removed some of the content from the game.
When you consider that the base Switch and Switch Lite versions only have 32 GB of storage, Tears of the Kingdom's 16 GB file size is quite a lot.
Although hardly many gamers have it, the OLED Switch versions provide twice as much storage - 64 GB. Thus, you will probably need to delete many of the installed games you have in order to free up space for Tears of the Kingdom.
But no worries, it is definitely worth it! In fact, the developers hint that Tears of the Kingdom will be a huge game with a lot of content for you to explore. So, it seems reasonable that Tears of the Kingdom will require that much space, whether it is 18.2 GB or 16 GB.
