Finding the Kochi Dye Shop in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
To start dyeing your armour in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, you’re going to have to head over to the Kochi Dye Shop. The Kochi Dye Shop is located in Hateno Village, which many of you may already be familiar with. Once you’re there, speak to the NPC called Sayge, who wears a big hat, has dye bottles around his waist, and oversees the shop. This will open up a menu that lets you fiddle around with armor dyes.
If you’re unsure of the location, here are the map coordinates: 3403, -2143, 0121.
Using dyes on armour in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
First of all, note that you can’t apply dye on every armour set. Some armour sets and unique pieces, such as the Bokoblin Mask or Majora’s Mask, cannot be dyed.
Regardless, for the armour that you can dye, each dye will cost you 20 Rupees, and Sayge will ask you to provide materials corresponding with that colour. You will have to provide five materials of the corresponding colour to make a single dye.
After this, you can see a preview of your dyed armour before you make the purchase. So make sure it fits the look you're going for. However, if you want to revert it back to its original appearance, that will also cost only 20 Rupees so don't hesitate to experiment. You can always check out our Rupee farming guide if you're low on Rupees.
