As you progress through the Clues to the Sky quest, you'll at one point need the King Dorephan location in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. The ruler of the Zora region is off adventuring while Link searches for him, with his location shrouded in secrecy.
In this guide, we'll explain how to find King Dorephan in Zelda Tears of the Kingodm. This requires several steps and isn't the most obvious, but it's a relief once you do track him down.
King Dorephan location in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
First off, you'll need to have already completed a few pre-requisite quests before you can start looking for King Dorephan in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Namely, you'll need to have finished the Broken Slate quest, and also eavesdropped on the Zora's Domain throne room to hear clues about Dorephan's location.
As far as Link knows, King Dorephan is off exploring in a cave hidden behind a waterfall with water that runs clear. You can see its exact location on the map below:
Getting to this cave, however, is pretty difficult. It doesn't appear on the surface, and doesn't harness the new waterfall-ascending abilities Link has just gained through the Zora Armor.
Instead, teleport to the nearby Ihen-a Shrine, and face West. Climb to the top of that peak and launch yourself off, looking out at the water below. Directly underneath you will be a large waterfall, but you want to look just to the right of that, about two o'clock directionally. There you'll see a much smaller waterfall hiding between some rocks. Dive down into there and you'll enter the Pristine Sanctum.
Within that sanctum, all you need to then do is speak to the nearby NPC called Muzu, and you'll find King Dorephan! After a brief chat, he'll give you the King's Scale item to continue with your quest.
