If you’re new to the series, or perhaps just a little hungry after all of that exploring, then you might be wondering how to make fire in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. The bonfires have been one of the most versatile mechanics in the game, so it’s no surprise that you might want to throw one down!
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was first announced through a trailer at E3 2019 and is a direct sequel to Breath of the Wild. As the 26th entry in The Legend of Zelda series, this is perhaps the most ambitious Zelda game out there.
How to make fire in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
The fires in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom have a number of different uses.
For example, campfires can be used to pass the time if you need to, but they can also be used to cook food on. If you manage to find a dedicated Cooking Pot, then you’ll even be able to cook more complicated dishes.
Also, you can use campfires to stop yourself from freezing in cold temperatures and even use the fire to light a torch or wooden weapon. They can even be used to light mobs on fire, including Link himself if he’s not careful enough!
However, if you make enough campfires close together or you make them big enough on their own, then they can create updrafts that you can use to glide on.
So, how do you make fire in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom? Well, thankfully, this is very easy. First, you need to get Flint and Wood resources and drop them together on the floor. Once they’re nice and close to each other, swing a weapon at them and they will ignite together.
If you want to make your campfire big enough to create an updraft, throw a pinecone or two onto it to make it bigger. It’ll grow in size and the flames will be big enough to create the strong current needed to support Link and his hand-glider.
