The Duchess Who Disappeared in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is a major side quest. This seemingly simple quest has you tracking down Selmie, who has apparently gone missing, hence the quest name.
While it may appear simple, the game doesn't exactly provide you with simple directions, and you have to rely on a bit of intuition. If you're having trouble finding Selmie in the Duchess Who Disappeared quest, then worry not, as we've got you covered.
How to start The Duchess Who Disappeared quest in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
The Duchess Who Disappeared quest in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is fairly simple to find and start. Head to the Biron Snowshelf, in the cliff area north of Rito Village. Over here, you will spot Fin, who has lit a fire to signal for help. You will receive the quest to look for Selmie, The Duchess of Downhill, who is the top shield surfer in Hyrule. Hope you've learned how to shield surf by now. Apparently, she has gone missing, and you need to find her.
It may be confusing to figure out where to go from here once you receive the quest, as the mountain range is large and there are various caverns in the area.
How to find Selmie in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Head down to the slope from where you first accepted the quest and look to the right. You'll see the entrance to a cave show up. This is the East Biron Snowshelf cave, and it's connected to Lake Kilsie. If you're having trouble finding it, then you can look around for the Bubbul Bunny in the area, which will help lead you to the cave as well.
Here are the exact coordinates for the East Biron Snowshelf Cave: -2740, 2808, 0653.
Once you enter the cave, you simply have to clear it up, and you'll find Selmie in no time. Talk to her to finish up the quest and receive your rewards.
