If you’ve just booted up The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, then you might be wondering what exactly is going on. It’s very understandable, there’s a lot to get to grips with! However, if you want to know where to go first in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, then there’s only one place that really fits the bill.
There will be plenty of time to explore the rest of the continent afterwards, especially once you get a couple of upgrades that speed up travel and make it easier to cross that difficult terrain. One of the things you should look out for are all the different kinds of horses in Hyrule, as they will be a big help.
Where to go first in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
You have all of Hyrule to explore, there are countless interesting landmarks on the horizon and you desperately want to get some better gear. So, where do you go? Thankfully, the answer to this one is pretty cut and dry.
The place you’ll want to go first in Tears of the Kingdom is Rito Village. This quiet little place might seem a bit unassuming at first, but the dungeon in this area is one of the best ones you can visit early on. This is because the reward you get from it makes travelling in the world of Hyrule so much easier. It’s definitely worth getting this upgrade early on, rather than running off and coming back later in the game.
Rito Village is located in the middle of Lake Totori, on top of a few rocks jutting out of the water. It’s a very beautiful location that can be accessed by crossing the bridge from the east. The village will also be home to a number of different shops that you can access, such as an Inn, an Armour Shop, and a General Store.
Once you've been to Rito Village, there are a few different places you might want to go, but that will all depend on what you want to do! You can take on the closest enemy camp if you want to start collecting weapons, or maybe you want to spend some more time in Rito and work on those side quests.
