Zenless Zone Zero 1.0 Banners
The Zenless Zone Zero 1.0 banners are:
Mellow Waveride - Phase 1 (July 4 - July 24):
- Mellow Waveride - Ellen, Anton, Soukaku
- Dissonant Sonata - Deep Sea Visitor W-Engine
- An Outstanding Partner - Butler, Devilboo, Penguinboo Bangboos (Rumored)
Unswerving Bullet - Phase 2 (July 24 - August 14)
- Unswerving Bullet - Zhu Yuan, Nicole, Ben
Limited banners on other HoYoverse games like Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail generally last for three weeks, so we can expect the same for Zenless Zone Zero going forward.
After those three weeks are up, we can expect another batch of banners for the second half of Zenless Zone Zero 1.0. Check out the Zenless Zone Zero banner schedule to find out more.
Mellow Waveride (1.0 Phase 1)
- Ellen (S-Rank, Ice)
- Soukaku (A-Rank, Ice)
- Anton (A-Rank, Electric)
Mellow Waveride is the limited Agent banner featuring Ellen Joe of the Victoria Housekeeping faction. Ellen is an S-Rank Agent with the Ice attribute that specializes in dealing slash-type damage. It’s highly likely that Ellen will be the best damage dealer in the game at launch, making her an excellent pick to carry you through the game’s early stages. However, do keep in mind that DPS units are usually the first casualties when it comes to powercreep.
Alongside Ellen on the Mellow Waveride banner, the A-Rank characters Soukaku and Anton will also receive rate-ups. Both are A-Rank Agents with Anton being an Electric-type damage dealer while Soukaku is an Ice support unit. Both of these Agents are available in the standard banner, but they’ll be getting boosted rates on Mellow Waveride.
Dissonant Sonata (1.0 Phase 1)
- Deep Sea Visitor (S-Rank)
- Drill Rig (A-Rank)
- Bashful Demon (A-Rank)
This is the limited banner for W-Engines, which is the game’s version of weapons. Dissonant Sonata features the Deep Sea Visitor W-Engine. It raises the wearer’s ATK while boosting their CRIT Rate after freezing an enemy, making it the perfect weapon for Ellen.
Also getting their rates boosted on this banner are the Drill Rig and Bashful Demon W-Engines. The Drill Rig works well on Anton as it provides a boost to Electric damage dealt. Meanwhile, the Bashful Demon increases Ice Damage and raises the ATK of the entire party, making it a solid option for both Soukaku and Ellen.
An Outstanding Partner (1.0 Phase 1)
- Butler (S-Rank)
- Devilboo - Rumored (A-Rank)
- Penguinboo - Rumored (A-Rank)
Bangboos are cute little androids that are found running around and helping the citizens of New Eridu. Keeping these guys close will also aid you on your adventures, so they do get their very own banner. An Outstanding Partner features Butler, a well-dressed Bangboo that enhances the party’s offensive capabilities by boosting ATK, CRIT Rate, and Energy generation.
Accompanying Butler on this banner is Devilboo and Penguinboo, Bangboos that like to help attack enemies on the battlefield. The Bangboo banners are unique in Zenless Zone Zero in that they don’t require premium currency for you to pull on them. Instead, you use tickets called Boopons that are obtained through various ways in-game.
Unswerving Bullet (1.0 Phase 2)
- Zhu Yuan (S-Rank, Ether)
- Nicole (A-Rank, Ether)
- Ben (A-Rank, Fire)
For the second half of Zenless Zone Zero 1.0, Zhu Yuan will be the featured S-Rank Agent on the Unswerving Bullet banner. Zhu Yuan is the leader of the Crime Investigation Special Response Team in New Eridu and is extremely proficient with firearms, hence the name of the banner.
Nicole and Ben are also getting rate-ups on this banner, two 4-star Agents that have quickly become fan favourites due to being featured heavily in promotional art for the game's launch.
It's worth noting that you can get both Ben and Nicole for free simply by playing through Zenless Zone Zero's story, but pulling on the Unswerving Bullet banner would be a great opportunity to grab some copies of these characters to power them up.
Dissonant Sonata (1.0 Phase 2)
- Riot Suppressor Mark VI (S-Rank)
- Big Cylinder (A-Rank)
- The Vault (A-Rank)
To accompany Zhu Yuan, the ZZZ 1.0 banners for Phase 2 will include her signature W-Engine known as the Riot Suppressor Mark VI. As you might expect, this is perfect for Zhu Yuan, though it can work well on similar characters too.
Are The Zenless Zone Zero 1.0 Banners Worth It?
It all boils down to personal preference. If you like Ellen’s or Zhu Yuan's character design or enjoy their playstyle, then go ahead and spend your Polychromes. From there, deciding on whether or not to pull on the other banners may be a bit easier since the featured W-Engine and Bangboo both cater to Ellen’s and Zhu Yuan's kits in their respective banner phases.
Remember, you aren’t guaranteed to get the featured Agent, W-Engine, or Bangboo while pulling, so be sure to spend responsibly if you plan on shelling out some of your hard-earned cash.
