Now that players have gotten to spend some time in New Eridu, many have found teases for upcoming characters through in-game quests and drip marketing from HoYoverse. In this guide, we’ll be going over the Zenless Zone Zero Seth release date as well as possible builds so you can prepare for the new Agent’s arrival.
Whether you need Seth to fill out a certain role on your squad or you’re just a fan of his design, you’re going to want to know when the new Agent will become a playable character in Zenless Zone Zero. While waiting for his release, feel free to check out our Zenless Zone Zero character tier list or read up on what ZZZ events are currently taking place.
Zenless Zone Zero Seth Release Date
Leaks suggest that Seth will be featured in the Zenless Zone Version 1.1 phase two banner, which is expected to be available between Wednesday, September 4, 2024, and Wednesday, September 25, 2024. However, HoYoverse has yet to reveal anything officially.
These leaks also suggest that Seth will be an A-Rank Defense Agent with the Electric Attribute, but this has yet to be confirmed and could change prior to his banner. However, the drip marketing released by HoYoverse does confirm that Seth is a member of New Eridu Public Security, making him a potential teammate for Zhu Yuan.
Zenless Zone Zero Seth Build
Assuming he is indeed an Electric Defense Agent, the best Seth build in ZZZ will be:
- Best W-Engine: Big Cylinder
- Best Drive Disc: Soul Rock (4pc), Swing Jazz (2pc)
- Best Bangboo: Plugboo
- Best Teams: Anby, Seth, Zhu Yuan
- Stat Priority: Defense
There are other ways to build Seth that’ll keep him just as viable, so we’ll be covering other options for the Agent as well.
Zenless Zone Zero Seth Best W-Engine
Big Cylinder is a top choice when it comes to W-Engines for Defense characters since it has a huge impact on an Agent’s survivability as well as providing a decent chunk of offensive damage.
W-Engine | Rarity | Stats | Effect |
---|---|---|---|
Big Cylinder | A | Base ATK: 624 / Defense: 40% | Reduce damage taken. After being hit, the next attack will be a critical hit that deals extra damage based on the wearer's DEF. This can trigger once every 7.5 seconds. |
Spring Embrace | A | Base ATK: 594 / Attack: 25% | Reduce damage taken. After being hit, the wearer's Energy Generation Rate is increased for 12 seconds. This effect will be transferred over to the next character if the wearer is swapped out. |
Original Transmorpher | A | Base ATK: 594 / HP: 25% | Increases max HP by 8%. The user's Impact is increased by 10% for 12 seconds after being attacked. |
Zenless Zone Zero Seth Best Drive Disc
There’s currently only one Drive Disc that focuses on Defense and that’s the Soul Rock set. However, other Drive Discs will still allow Seth to support the squad in battle.
Drive Disc Set | 2-pc Effect | 4-pc Effect |
---|---|---|
Soul Rock | Increase Defense by 16%. | Take 40% less damage after losing HP from an enemy attack. |
Swing Jazz | Increase Energy Regeneration Rate by 20%. | Increase the damage output of the entire squad by 15% for 12 seconds after using a Chain Attack or Ultimate. |
Thunder Metal | Increase Electric DMG by 10% | Increase the user's ATK by 28% as long as there is a Shocked enemy in battle. |
Zenless Zone Zero Best Seth Teams
Seth will be a great addition to any team that includes other Electric Attribute Agents or PubSec officers.
Team | Character 1 | Character 2 | Character 3 |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Seth (Defense) | Anby (Stun) | Grace (Anomaly) |
2 | Seth (Defense) | Anby (Stun) | Zhu Yuan (Attack) |
Zenless Zone Zero Seth Best Bangboo
If you’re looking to include Seth in an Electric-themed squad, Plugboo would be your best bet. This little android will help with inflicting Anomaly Buildup and dealing Electric damage.
Bangboo | Rarity | Active Skill | Passive Skill | Chain Skill |
---|---|---|---|---|
Plugboo | S | Deal Electric DMG and Anomaly Buildup with an EM Cannon. | Bangboo Chain Attack will inflict 100% more Anomaly Buildup when there are at least two Electric Attribute characters on the squad. | Deal Electric DMG and Anomaly Buildup to enemies within a large area. |
Electroboo | A | Charge an enemy for an attack that deals Electric DMG. | Bangboo Chain Attack inflicts 60% more Anomaly Buildup when there are at least 2 Electric characters on the team. | Charge an enemy for a continuous attack that deals Electric DMG. |
Paperboo | A | Paperboo will gain a camouflage effect and taunt enemies. Trigger an explosion that deals Physical DMG after being attacked or when reaching the camouflage timer limit. | When there is at least one Defense character on the squad, Bangboo Chain Attack will generate a shield for all party members based on the number of enemies hit up to a maximum of 15% of Paperboo's max HP. | Enter a cardboard box and jump toward an enemy. Trigger an explosion that deals Physical DMG in a large area upon landing. |
Zenless Zone Zero Seth Materials
You’ll need the following materials to raise Seth’s level and enhance his skills.
- Shock Chips (skill enhancement material)
- Defense Seals (character promotion material)
You can get these items by participating in Combat Simulation through the VR Console at the HIA Club. If you’re running low on Battery Charge, you can also check to see if the 141 Store has any of these materials in stock.
That’s all we have on Zenless Zone Zero's Seth for now but we’ll be sure to update this guide once more info on the PubSec Agent is revealed. In the meantime, you may be interested in checking to see who’s being featured in the current Zenless Zone Zero banners or looking ahead for more upcoming characters.
