Does Halo Infinite Have Skill-Based Match Making (SBMM)?
We can confirm that Halo Infinite does have SBMM when you're playing competitively.
SBMM is attached to the game's unique ranking system, so when playing ranked matches, you will play against Spartans within the same level. So if you're in Gold II and you play in the 'Ranked Arena' playlist, you'll come up against players who are also in Gold II.
Furthermore, skill-based matchmaking is also present in the "Quick Play" playlist, as well as Big Team Battle. So, you'll also come up against Spartans of similar stature here as well.
The inclusion of SBMM in Halo Infinite is no surprise considering the recent trend of online games covering this aspect. And given the game's foundations in supporting esports and acting as a pioneer for multiplayer action, its inclusion makes perfect sense.
Halo Infinite has introduced a number of changes, one of which includes the addition of a battle pass system. While the shooter's customisation options have also been amplified, giving players an extensive wardrobe to dapper up their Spartans.
