Halo Infinite has been confirmed to be the biggest launch in franchise history.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella recently revealed that the game has crossed a steady player base of 20 million players since it was launched back in December 2021. Halo's official Twitter page made the announcement earlier today.

Halo Infinite Marks The Biggest Launch In Franchise History With 20 Million Players
Nadella spoke on Halo Infinite's success during Microsoft's recent second-quarter earnings call. He said:
We saw record engagement as well as revenue this quarter. Game Pass has more than 25 million subscribers across PC and console.
Nadella continued:
We released new AAA titles this holiday to rave reviews and record usage. 18 million played Forza Horizon 5 and more than 20 million have played Halo Infinite, making it the biggest Halo launch in history.
Forza Horizon 5 was released on the same platforms in November 2021, and it enjoyed similar success as Halo Infinite, crossing over 18 million players. Now, with the news of Microsoft acquiring Activision, players can expect more games to arrive on Game Pass soon.
