Halo Infinite: How To Use The Shock Rifle
The Shock Rifle's ammo showcases 12 pelts, but really the weapon shoots out three bursts of electro-pulses with each shot consuming 3 units. So in reality, each magazine will be able to launch 4 shots in total.
While the ammo may seem low, each shot is super powerful. Two shots are capable of taking out an enemy Spartan completely even without headshots, making it one of the most damaging guns in the game.
Each pulse launches electroshocks on impact, making it useful in EMP-ing vehicles in Big Team Battles. Two shots to a Warthog and you'll stop it in its tracks, giving you and your squad enough time to eliminate remaining hostiles or even hijack it.
The shocks also spread outwards through its chain lightning feature. This means that if you shoot one enemy, the shocks will dissipate to a neighbouring foe. Take advantage of this aspect by shooting at large, cuddled groups of enemy Spartans - all of them will be impacted by these shocks.
With great power comes a great disadvantage, as the Shock Rifle's fire rate is extremely slow. It takes time to move from one shot to the next while its maximum capacity of four shots per magazine makes it difficult to use in close-combat scenarios. Instead, take advantage of the Shock Rifle's scope to zoom into enemy Spartans from long distances.
The Shock Rifle is one of Halo Infinite's best additions, as the powerful sniper is capable of eliminating targets in 2 shots. Another impressive inclusion is the UNSC Hydra; a hybrid between a grenade and a rocket launcher.
