Horizon Forbidden West has seen positive reception for its graphics, but the cross-gen title has struggled with some visual issues on PS4 and PS5. Between HDR issues, texture pop-in and shimmering, developers Guerrilla Games is working on a fix.
Speaking on Reddit, Guerrilla issued a statement revealing a patch is being worked on to resolve these visual issues as soon as possible. They confirmed:
Thank you for sharing your various visual issues with us via our Support Form. The team are working vigilantly to resolve these issues. Please continue to use the Support Form and share videos (recordings of your TV and monitor are useful) and provide us with as much information as possible.

Despite these problems, Horizon Forbidden West has received acclaim from critics and fans alike. Praised for good stealth, its vast open-world, enjoyable combat mechanics, and interesting cast, we're hopeful this will be resolved soon to let players fully appreciate this game.
