Life is Strange Double Exposure Story

Life is Strange Double Exposure follows Max Caulfield once more in a brand new adventure. Set 10 years after the events of the original game, Max is now a photographer-in-residence at the prestigious Caledon University.

At a new campus with new goals, Max has given up her time rewinding player for good and is instead determined to live her life by living with the consequences. That is until she discovers her closest new friend, Safi, dead in the snow. Murdered.

Determined to save Safi, Max reaches out with her time-rewind powers, only to discover that she's opened a parallel timeline in which Safi is alive but still very much in danger. She can shift between two different timelines now, but how will that help her crack the case?

With so much at stake, Max is thrust into a murder mystery once more. One that, hopefully, has a happier ending than the one that awaited Rachel Amber in the original game.

Will Chloe Be in Life is Strange Double Exposure?

One of the biggest questions fans had at the reveal of Life is Strange Double Exposure was whether Chloe Price, Max's best friend and crush, would have an impact. After all, the original game had two very different endings: bae (saving Chloe) or bay (sacrificing the town of Arcadia Bay).

While we don't know the full extent of Chloe's appearance in this game, we do know that Life is Strange Double Exposure wants to make sure both endings are addressed fully. How Deck Nine will do that is anyone's guess, but it does make it possible that we'll see Chloe again.

And even if it doesn't, it does at least seem as though the relationship between Max and Chloe (romantic or otherwise) will play a role. Thanks to GamesRadar, we know that Max keeps a picture of Chloe in her wallet, but are they together? Or did something else happen to drive them apart? Only time will tell.

Life is Strange Double Exposure Gameplay

Loading...

Life is Strange Double Exposure has not revealed a gameplay trailer just yet, but thanks to previews of the game at Summer Games Fest, we do have an idea of what players can expect.

Like the original game, players will take on the role of Max as she walks around the campus of her university and other environments. Along the way, players will encounter other characters who either play a part within the main storyline or have their own insular quests that will affect how they feel about Max (depending on her choices) throughout the game's episodes.

This time around, however, Max's powers no longer 'rewind.' Instead, Max will be able to shift between the two timelines, allowing her to step through weak points and investigate things from a new perspective.

For now, that's all we know about Life is Strange Double Exposure. But be sure to check back later, as we'll update this guide with all the latest news and details as they become available.
