The first new game in the series in almost a decade, Mario and Luigi Brothership is a return to Nintendo’s beloved turn-based RPG series. While not developed by the series’ original developers, fans are still hyped for Mario and Luigi Brothership release date to hit Nintendo Switch.

Announced alongside titles like Dragon Quest 1+2 HD-2D Remake and The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, the Mario and Luigi Brothership release date is surprisingly soon. A Nintendo Switch exclusive, the new game will only be playable on the handheld/console hybrid.

Nintendo has confirmed the Mario and Luigi Borthership release date as November 7, 2024. The game will release exclusively on Nintendo Switch hardware.

Mario and Luigi Brothership Story

In the new Mario and Luigi RPG, the titular brothers team up once again to battle an evil force ravaging the Mushroom Kingdom. As the two plumbers, you’ll engage in an island-hopping adventure.

As expected, the new Mario game will also include the iconic villain Bowser, although he doesn’t appear to be the main villain in this new adventure.

Just like previous games in the series, Mario and Luigi Brothership is a turn-based RPG where you control the two iconic Nintendo characters. Similar to Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, you’ll have to press buttons at specific times to deal extra damage or avoid incoming attacks.

In the game, you’ll also explore a detailed overworld to find items and engage in mini games. As you find items, you’ll also be able to use them in battle, some with their own mechanics to deal maximum damage.
