Nintendo has confirmed The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom release date as September 27, 2024. Exclusively coming to Nintendo Switch consoles, the new Zelda game launches very soon on Nintendo platforms.
The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom Story
In The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom, you play as the titular Princess Zelda after a mysterious villain captures the heroic Link. With strange rifts appearing all over the region of Hyrule, you’ll have to find and defeat the mastermind villain ravaging the land and kidnapping the citizens of your country.
The main villain of The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom has yet to be confirmed. However, it seems that Ganon is not behind the events of this adventure.
The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom Gameplay
Just like classic Zelda games, Echoes of Wisdom is a top-down adventure, albeit with some major gameplay changes. While the game does follow the series’ iconic top-down view, players won’t be swinging swords at enemies as the titular Princess Zelda. Instead, they’ll have to use Echoes to make their way through the game.
Echoes allow players to spawn objects to navigate platforming challenges and fight enemies. For example, a cliff you can’t climb may no longer be an obstacle once you set down the echo of a table or a trampoline. Furthermore, you can also spawn Echoes of enemies to fight for you, or even ride atop of to defeat your foes.
Alongside the classic overworld navigation, The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom also brings back classic dungeon designs with bosses to defeat and puzzles to solve. After the release of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, this is the most traditional Zelda experience in years.
The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom Dungeons List
At the time of writing, Nintendo has yet to release a list of The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom dungeons. However, the game is returning to the classic format of overworld exploration and puzzles with dungeons to bookend sequences.
