Families play a vital role in shaping your Zoi’s journey—not just in real life, but in InZOI too. With families, you get full creative control to mold your Zoi’s world the way you imagine it. Unlike reality, where families grow naturally over time, InZOI gives you a more flexible and customizable way to start and expand your virtual household.
Whether you want to expand your family, change relationships, or remove a member, there are plenty of options that allow you to edit families according to your needs. This guide will walk you through all the steps to help you modify your family and keep everything organized in InZOI.
How to Add New Family Members

+ 2If you want to add a new Zoi to your existing family, open your Zoi’s smartphone. Look for the City Map and select the family you want to edit. Choose the option Add Family Member. This will take you to the character creation screen, where you can design a new Zoi. You can add up to eight Zois in a single family.
In the character creation screen, you’re allowed to make small adjustments to your existing Zois, but the options are more limited compared to when you’re creating a new character from scratch. Additionally, if you’re adding a new Zoi to your household, you can define their relationships by heading over to the Relationships tab. Just remember—once these relationships are set, they can’t be changed later, so make your choices carefully.
How to Remove Family Members
In InZOI, you cannot delete a character. If you want to remove a Zoi from a particular family, your best approach is to move them into a separate family. Another way to remove a family member is by killing them, but this comes with consequences so it's better to move them to a family you don’t want to use.
How to Move Zois Between Families
If you want to move your Zois between families, open your Smartphone again. Go to the City Map and click on the All Families tab located at the top. There you can view every family in the city. Select the option Move Zois Between Families. This will allow you to pick two families and decide which one you want to move to.
click to enlarge + 2However, when you are moving your Zois, make sure to evaluate your Zois assets. For example, when you move a Zoi with the most assets to a new family, the previous one will be left with nothing. On the other hand, when one of your families does not have assets, you can move to a financially strong Zoi to give them stability.
How to Play as Different Families
InZOI does not limit you to a single family. If you want to play with a different household, open the world map and select another home. Press Play to switch to the family that lives in that house. You can also use the All Families menu to create additional custom families that allow you to manage multiple households within your city.
