League of Legends is a game with well over 150 champions to play with at any given moment. Well, 157 if we want to be specific. Despite being over 12 years old, the Riot's MOBA doesn't look like it's going to slow down anytime soon, with another champion already available in Zeri, and a handful more already promised for 2022. With so many champions to choose from, it can get pretty costly, both in time (and money) to unlock them all. Thankfully, there's a cheaper way to experience everything the game has to offer. Here's everything you need to know about League of Legends Free Champion Rotation.

What is League's Free Champion Rotation?
As we touched on, there are over 150 champions, making it fairly tough for anyone to play all champions without spending a whole heap of time (literally, thousands of hours) and money on the game.
That's why Riot Games unlocks a selection of champions, for free, every week which players can try out before they decide to part with their hard-earned cash.
Typically Riot Games will add 15 champions into the rotation, but they're only available in unranked games.
Sometimes champions will be omitted from the rotation, for instance, if they are in dire need of balancing, or if they have an upcoming rework coming.
The developers will also add 'new' champions into the rotation. Typically the earliest this happens is three weeks following a champion's release, as clearly the team doesn't want to anger players who already purchased the character at launch.
When does League's Free Champion Rotation Change?
The League of Legends free champion rotation takes place every Tuesday.
So if you're looking to try out a new champion check back every Tuesday afternoon to see which 15 champions have been selected. We'll also update this page every week with the new selection of champions as they're announced.
