Best Gear For Each Mario Strikers: Battle League Character

Gear type Best choice
HeadTurbo Helmet
ArmsChain Gauntlets
BodyCannon Plate
LegsTurbo Boots

See the above table for our picks of the best of each gear type in Mario Strikers: Battle League. They are a general breakdown of the best gear for each type, and as such may not necessarily benefit each character.

Yes, gear is most useful for altering the base stats of a character - and of course, not all strikers are made equal. A tanky character like Bowser for example may not benefit from the strength boost provided by the Muscle Boots or Muscle Gauntlets.

Instead, the options in our table will provide around-the-board boosts to passing, speed, and shooting, arguably the most important stats in the game. If you want to hone the gear setup for each character, your best option is to equip them in the Gear Settings menu and choose the equipment that give the best buffs.

Best Gear For Mario

Item type Best choice
HeadChain Helmet
ArmsTrick Gloves
BodyTurbo Pad
LegsCannon Boots

As one of the best all-rounders in the game, our best Mario build focuses on overall boosts to all of his stats. You'll notice that his passing and strength are his lowest stats, so we've picked items that will boost them without sacrificing other stats too much.

Best Gear For Luigi

Item type Best choice
HeadTurbo Helmet
ArmsMuscle Gauntlets
BodyCannon Plate
LegsTurbo Boots

Our focus with this Luigi build is on speed and shooting, to make the green plumber a potent attacking force. They'll boost his speed on the ball and his ability to take shots from far out, meaning he'll be a must-pick in your roster.

Best Gear For Bowser

Item type Best choice
HeadMuscle Helmet
ArmsMuscle Gauntlets
BodyTurbo Pad
LegsMuscle Chest

Bowser is one of the more tanky characters in the game, so our build is all about advancing those stats even further. With three muscle items he'll have max strength stats, with just one turbo item thrown in there to ensure he isn't too slow when bounding for tackles.

Best Gear For Peach

Item type Best choice
HeadTurbo Helmet
ArmsMuscle Gauntlets
BodyCannon Plate
LegsChain Boots

Peach is one of the more underrated characters in Mario Strikers: Battle League, so our build boosts her even further. Already the joint-quickest character in the game, this will make her even quicker, while boosting her strength and speed.

Best Gear For Rosalina

Item type Best choice
HeadCannon Visor
ArmsTurbo Gloves
BodyChain Plate
LegsCannon Boots

Rosalina is equally quite underrated, but harbours the best shooting stats in the game. As such, we've added some gear that'll get her even better in front of goal, with a few boosts to speed and passing to help balance things.

Best Gear For Toad

Item type Best choice
HeadCannon Visor
ArmsMuscle Gauntlets
BodyTrick Pad
LegsMuscle Boots

Toad is also one of the most rapid characters in the game, and our best build ensures we don't jeopardise that. With some necessary boosts to his strength, just to ensure he doesn't get bullied off the ball, this will make Toad almost unstoppable.

Best Gear For Yoshi

Item type Best choice
HeadTurbo Helmet
ArmsTurbo Gloves
BodyTrick Pad
LegsMuscle Boots

Yoshi's base stats make him incredible on the ball, but pretty weak elsewhere. As such, we've buffed his strength and speed, so his other stats can match up to his shooting proficiency.

Best Gear For Donkey Kong

Item type Best choice
HeadMuscle Helmet
ArmsMuscle Gauntlets
BodyTurbo Pad
LegsMuscle Chest

Our best gear build for Donkey Kong is identical to our Bowser choices, because both characters play very similarity. Tanks like them need buffs to help make their strength useful in general gameplay, which is where the gear comes in.

Best Gear For Wario

Item type Best choice
HeadTurbo Helmet
ArmsTurbo Gloves
BodyTrick Pad
LegsCannon Boots

Wario is another fairly underrated character, with weak speed and technique stats that don't do justice to his strength and shooting. As such, we've got plenty of turbo gear to ensure he can zip around the pitch.

Best Gear For Waluigi

Item type Best choice
HeadCannon Visor
ArmsCannon Gloves
BodyCannon Plate
LegsChain Boots

We decided to make Waluigi a shooting god with our build, as that is arguably his worst stat without any equipment. He's already fast and strong, so a jolt to his shooting ensures he's very well-rounded.
