It has been quite some time since Nintendo announced the brand new port of Super Mario 3D World and the new Bowser's Fury title, which are both releasing on the Nintendo Switch next month.

The new version of Super Mario 3D World is going to be a fantastic time on the Switch, but not all aspects of the game are going to be the same.

Nintendo has unveiled some changes coming with the game's release next month.

But do these additions include the implementation of online co-op play?

Here's the answer!

Yes!

Nintendo has posted a brand new YouTube video this week, showcasing some of the new features coming to Super Mario 3D World.

Within this video, it has been confirmed that the online cooperative play will be apart of the Nintendo Switch version.

Online play for up to four friends is new to Super Mario 3D World, and it requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership.

Snapshot mode will let players pause the action, take pictures, apply visual filters, and decorate the world with collectible stamps.

Those who played 3D World on Wii U will notice that Mario and his friends move quicker than they did in 2013.
