Invisible Woman, otherwise known as Susan Storm, is a Strategist in Marvel Rivals. As a support hero and the founding member of the Fantastic Four in Marvel Rivals, she typically reverts to her invisibility and force field-based abilities to play on the offensive, provide support and defense to her teammates, or slow down her opponents.
With that said, the player is also prone to damage. Having a somewhat decent health bar, she’s vulnerable when confronted by enemy players. With this in mind, she needs a character who can effectively utilize her abilities. Read on to learn more about the best heroes to duo with Invisible Woman in Marvel Rivals.
Invisible Woman Abilities in Marvel Rivals
Being a Strategist, Invisible Woman’s main role revolves around providing essential support for her teammates. That being said, she can’t shine alone without having characters that complement her abilities. Before diving into the best pair-ups for her, though, it’s vital to understand how Susan Storm operates in Marvel Rivals.
One of her key abilities is Stealth Cloak. As the name suggests, this ability allows the character to turn invisible for a brief period. While cloaked, she’s immune to being marked by her enemies—she doesn’t take damage either. This provides her with a window to reposition to strategic locations, or retreat in case of heavy gunfire.
On the defensive front, her Psionic Force Field is a game-changing ability, allowing her to generate a protective barrier that absorbs incoming damage. During battle, this ability can be used to provide crucial support to her allies, shielding them from incoming damage and allowing them to maintain their positions on the map without hurdles.
Additionally, the force field can also block specific projectiles, making it all the more useful.
On the offensive front, she utilizes Telekinetic Blast, where she channels her energy to release a concussive wave of force. The ability is multifunctional—not only dealing crucial damage to her opponents but also disrupting their positioning by knocking them down. It works well for crowd control and spacing enemies out during intense battles.
Finally, Susan’s Ultimate: the Dimensional Rift. Here, the character temporarily phases into another plane, making her immune to all kinds of attacks from the enemies. Additionally, this phasing movement also creates a distortion field, used to slow enemies that come within its radius.
Best Heroes for Invisible Woman in Marvel Rivals
From her abilities, it’s clear that the Invisible Woman utilizes her power to mainly support her teammates with crowd-control abilities. She needs characters to capitalize on this effectively, in that case. Below, we’ll discuss a few heroes who do this.
1. Mister Fantastic (Duelist)
If you’ve watched the movies or read the comics, Mister Fantastic is her closest ally and the leader of the Fantastic Four. Being a natural teammate to Susan, he can provide essential buffs to her abilities or capitalize on the window of opportunity she makes.
Being a Duelist, Mister Fantastic is responsible for dealing damage mainly. He does this through multiple abilities but he commonly uses the Elastic Strike. Here, Susan Storm can shield him through her Psionic Force Field, increasing the character’s durability and allowing him to withstand enemy offenses.
Additionally, Mister Fantastic’s Morphing Grapple can pull enemies into the force field’s range, creating opportunities for massive follow-up damage.
Their synergy is further enhanced when Mister Fantastic reverts to his Adaptive Defense ability. As the name suggests, the trait allows him to boost his durability when close to allies. Since Invisible Woman excels at controlling engagements, this ensures that Mister Fantastic can stay in the fight longer while dealing consistent damage.
2. Black Panther (Duelist)
Being a Duelist, Black Panther uses his movement speed and melee attacks to deal significant damage to his opponents. When paired with Invisible Woman, his attributes gain an additional buff.
For instance, Panther’s Vibranium Dash—through which, the character can quickly reposition to strategic spots on the map. He can also use this ability to dive onto opponents or retreat in case of a critical health bar. Here, Invisible Woman makes using this ability easier, providing him with much-needed stealth by hiding his movements. This is done through the Stealth Cloak.
When you’re able to coordinate the ability perfectly with a Black Panther, he can surprise attack the enemy team without revealing his positioning.
His Energy Daggers also benefit from Invisible Woman’s crowd control abilities, as they deal additional damage to targets that are slowed or knocked back by her Telekinetic Blast. Finally, Panther’s Kinetic absorption allows him to mitigate damage. With Susan Storm’s Psionic Force Field activated, Panther becomes all the more difficult to take down.
3. Doctor Strange (Vanguard)
Doctor Strange is a Vanguard in Marvel Rivals. Apart from boasting an impressive health bar, he utilizes his mystical abilities to form a potent synergy with the Invisible Woman.
Being a Vanguard, Strange is typically on the front lines, providing support and cover to his allies. With that said, he’s also the most prone to receiving damage. When paired with Susan, Stephen can significantly enhance his durability on the battlefield through the Psionic Force Field.
Boasting an impressive skill set, Strange can also root enemies in place through Crimson Bands of Cyttorak. When activated, Susan can capitalize on the opportunity by dealing a great deal of damage to her enemies via Telekinetic Blast or Dimensional Rift.
Additionally, his ability to open Mystic Portals allows for creative repositioning, giving them an edge in mobility-based face-offs.
