Marvel’s Spider-Man and Miles Morales both had some brilliant writing behind it, so it's no surprise Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 looks set to continue that trend. Writer Brittney M. Morris has announced that she's joined Insomniac Games to write for the PS5-exclusive sequel.
Having previously worked on the critically-acclaimed Subnautica: Below Zero, it marks quite the tonal shift in projects. Morris shared this news on her Twitter, stating that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be her first project for the company, and we can hopefully assume it won’t be the last.

Insomniac Games has numerous Marvel projects ongoing, also working on Marvel’s Wolverine. This will be the X-Men character’s first solo game since the X-Men Origins: Wolverine video game tie-in, which released on PS3 and Xbox 360.
More Ratchet and Clank games also seem likely from Insomniac, after Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart launched last year to critical acclaim.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is coming to PlayStation 5 in 2023. The first teaser trailer indicates that both Peter and Miles will be playable, while also confirming classic villains like Kraven, the Hunter, and Venom.
