Type-Moon Games has confirmed more details about Melty Blood Type Lumina's second DLC character, Aoko Aozaki. As a returning character from the previous entry, Shiki Tohno's mentor is still the magical brawler in their latest fighting game, and her moveset's still intact.

As seen in her gameplay trailer where she fights Tohno, Aozaki still uses a mix of brawling and magic spells to stop her foes. She's got long reach with her kicks and punches, while shooting beams and spheres of magic toward her foes. Due to her options, Aozaki's playstyle is a balanced potential that allows both long-range zoning and close-range fighting.

Her trailer also showcases moves that previously appeared in Melty Blood. In Type Lumina, Aoko still has her access to triple jumps for free, rekka special moves, setplay magic spheres, and beams that she punches and kicks out of thin air.

Aozaki Aoko will be playable on January 13th, 2022, along with the first DLC character, Dead Apostle Noel. We'll have to wait for their release for further details.
