A new first-person shooter game from Vertigo Games will be ready this year for Metro fans. Metro Awakening is a virtual reality game set years before the first game in the Metro franchise, Metro 2033. Featuring a doctor who embarks on a quest in Moscow's nuclear-ravaged subway system to find his wife, Metro Awakening lays the foundation of the franchise's narrative for the first game and will feature iconic characters of the franchise.
Armed with guns and a gas mask, the protagonist Sedar must venture to the depths of the Metro to find his wife and uncover the secrets lurking within. For fans of the post-apocalyptic genre and the Metro franchise, Metro Awakening aims to provide an immersive VR experience, complete with a story-driven campaign. Metro Awakening Release Date
Metro Awakening will unravel its story on November 7, 2024, just in time for Halloween. Fans can now pre-order either of the two editions of Metro Awakening. The game comes in Standard and Deluxe editions, with the Deluxe edition including the following items:

Metro Awakening Gameplay and Trailer
Metro Awakening features a fully immersive VR experience by adding a tactile world where everything is almost interactive. Ammos and gas mask filters will be a necessity in traversing the tunnels crippled by nuclear radiation, and players must use their wits to survive. Combat also features stealth mechanics should players choose to conserve their ammo, with a wide variety of handcrafted weapons available.
Aside from bandits lurking in the tunnels, Metro Awakening also features monstrous enemies that will lunge in at any moment. the game also sets the narrative of the events that happened in the first game, with Metro Awakening considered to be Khan's origin story.
