Finish by saving the changes that you made and you can now play Minecraft without any errors.

This all being said, there's technically a chance the above method will not fix your issue. If this happens, turn your game off and on again. If this doesn't help it, try reinstalling the entire thing. This is the most time-consuming option but, luckily, Minecraft isn't a very big game so shouldn't take too long to install.

If you're getting the 503 error code for Minecraft, it means you aren't connecting to the servers for some reason. It could be an issue with your own connection so it could always help to turn the game on and off. If this doesn't work, try unplugging your internet, leaving it for fifteen seconds, and then plugging it back in again.

Finally, if none of the above has worked to resolve your problem, there's a chance there could be an error with Mojang servers. Check out their Twitter account for any more updates. It's important for the game to be live and playable so it seems likely that, if you've noticed the servers are down, the team are working on it. At this point, the best thing you can do is wait. The servers will fix themselves after a little while. In the meantime, you can still play the game singleplayer or test it out on a different platform.
