Mojang recently announced that it will stop officially supporting VR in Minecraft in 2025, upsetting many VR fans. Players will no longer be able to interact and create their VR worlds in Minecraft unless they utilize third-party apps which may be difficult for some.

Interacting with everything in Minecraft is now limited to non-VR devices, making it less realistic for fans of virtual reality.

It was fun using that Minecraft garlic bread shotgun in VR while it lasted.

However, there's always sunshine after the rain as Minecraft becomes more real by having two theme parks starting in the US and the UK.

According to an exclusive report from The Guardian, Mojang partnered with Merlin Entertainments, the biggest theme park operator in Europe.

The company is also a global player, being second only to Disney when it comes to building the happiest places on earth.

While these Minecraft theme parks bring the best-selling video game of all time to the real world, some Minecraft fans are doubtful of whether this idea is perfect for the game, especially after the mixed reactions to the recent Minecraft movie trailer.

The trailer reminded longtime Minecraft fans that the unpopular Minecraft Story Mode is the friend they needed all along, which speaks volumes and sets the public's expectations for the upcoming movie.

In a recent Reddit post, fans aren't fully convinced about the $110 million theme parks for Minecraft. One commenter said that the idea could be a great one or will be a massive flop if the theme parks use the aesthetics of the Minecraft movie.

Official Minecraft VR will soon become a thing of the past, but in return, fans will get the chance to interact with real-world Minecraft creations through these theme parks.

It's just a matter of executing it properly, considering that Minecraft is the best-selling game to date. Fans were already traumatized by movie Sonic's previous design, so Mojang should step in to ensure history doesn’t repeat itself.
