Monster Hunter Rise is finally available on PC after nearly a year of Nintendo Switch exclusivity, and it looks like the wait was worth it. Not only has it seen strong reviews upon release, but it's currently one of the most-played games on Steam.
According to Benji-Sales (via NintendoLife), Monster Hunter Rise on PC reached a peak of 90,773 concurrent players, showing just how far Capcom’s franchise has come. Evidently, they're onto another winner.

Monster Hunter Rise Cracks Steam's Top 10 Most-Played Games at Launch
However, many remain disappointed at the lack of cross-play and cross-progression between both systems. Capcom previously stated they were "unable to implement it this time," meaning any Switch players looking to play on the stronger PC hardware would have to start from scratch.
Despite that, Monster Hunter Rise continues to be a huge success for Capcom, solidifying Monster Hunter as one of the company’s biggest franchises. We're awaiting further details on Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak currently, an upcoming expansion that'll launch for both Switch and PC sometime this year. We'll keep you informed when we learn more.
