If you were eagerly awaiting the Alien: Isolation sequel, you'll be happy to hear that Alien: Rogue Incursion is leaving VR and coming to PC and PS5.
Announced via social media, Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved is a reworked version of the VR title that originally came out late in 2024.
This new PC/PS5 version of the game was also developed by Survios and will be released on September 30th, 2025. The game will retail for $29.99 if you want to purchase the standard edition. The Digital Deluxe edition will be available for $39.99.
Rogue Incursion is the first part of a two-part project. The game does feature a full story campaign that works as a standalone experience despite being labeled as "part 1," something developer Survios didn't properly disclose early on , leading to massive confusion and the studio having to put out a statement as a result.
click to enlargeIn any case, Rogue Incursion follows Zula Hendricks, an ex-Colonial Marine who's set to uncover the dark secrets and illegal experiments conducted by the Gemini Exoplanet Solutions corporation on planet Purdan (LV-354).
You'll have some help along the way, including a synthetic organism, Davis 01, which will help Zula infiltrate a facility overrun by Xenomorphs, facing numerous threats in her quest for the truth.
The game features the eerie vibes and scares of Isolation, but it's not entirely a survival horror as you'll have plenty of ways to fight back against the Xenomorphs in Rogue Incursion, including some iconic weapons from the Alien franchise.
Rogue Incursion was relatively well received when it launched as a VR experience. It currently holds an 80 out of 100 score.
The studio has confirmed development on part 2 of the Rogue Incursion project is underway but hasn't shared news about the upcoming game and whether it will be a VR-first release like part 1.
As mentioned, Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolve will be released on September 30 for PC (via Steam) and PlayStation 5. No news of an Xbox version has been shared.
