Breakdown
- Apex Legends players loathe some of the shooter's nonsensical trials
- These trials force players to camp out at locations and actively look for situations they wouldn't normally find themselves in
- Many fans hope Season 21 makes these a lot more fun
Apex Legends fans haven’t enjoyed the multiplayer shooter’s recent trials, as they don’t make sense and force players in convoluted situations. It seems that more players aren’t enjoying these, with many hoping that these will be less annoying when Season 21 launches.
On the game’s official subreddit, one fan complained about the latest trial, which requires the player to kill enemies with the Havoc while they’re reviving. While not impossible, that set-up just to clear a trial is really annoying and almost removes some of the fun in this shooter.
This has unsurprisingly led to Apex Legends players complaining about previous trials in the shooter. Fans discussed being annoyed at killing players attempting to get a loot package or death box, making them camp at locations for a long time. Other Trials also require players to use their guns “creatively,” like firing 500 rounds with 51% accuracy.
Players can technically ignore these and play the shooter however they want, but that doesn’t ignore how weirdly designed these trials are. It seems that the developers want Apex players to get a bit creative with the way they move and shoot, which is respectable. Unfortunately, wanting that creativity has backfired and the devs should keep it simple to please the fans.
Luckily, there are plenty of events and challenges players can choose to spend their Apex Legends time on. The game recently launched their Urban Assault Collection event, which gave players plenty of rewards to earn. New characters like Alter also have the attention of fans, which is why fans want Season 21 to launch already.
Respawn Interactive doesn’t have to remove these annoying trials, as the devs merely have to make them more manageable and fun. Putting players in weird situations that don’t make a ton of sense is just annoying, hence, these fans wanting a change.
Apex Legends is readily available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
