Courtesy of the Pan European Game Information (PEGI) Board, we now have a release date for Dragon's Dogma 2. A 15-minute showcase stream is scheduled for later this month, although the notice regarding the game's release date appears to have slipped out early.
A tweet from @Wario64 on X, formerly known as Twitter, showed that PEGI has rated the sequel to 2012's Dragon Dogma as an 18, as the game nears its release. However, within the listing, PEGI has revealed, seemingly inadvertently, that Dragon's Dogma 2 be released on March 22, 2024.
Dragon's Dogma is an action role-playing video game developed and published by Capcom. The game features an open-world fantasy setting, where players take on the role of the "Arisen", a character whose heart has been stolen by a dragon, embarking on an epic journey to reclaim it and understand their destiny.
Capcom is expected to formally confirm the release date of Dragon's Dogma 2, during its upcoming showcase livestream, which promises to show off new gameplay footage for the highly-anticipated RPG. The game is already confirmed to be coming out on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X | S, with no plans to bring the game to the Nintendo Switch at this time.
This showcase stream for Dragon's Dogma 2 is set to begin at 9 PM GMT on November 28, 2023, on the CapcomUSA Twitch channel and DragonsDogma YouTube. Here, Capcom Director Hideaki Itsuno and Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi will show off some of the new footage and gameplay of Dragon's Dogma 2, in a 15-minute long showcase.
Dragon's Dogma 2 was only recently announced in May this year, as part of the celebration of 11 years since Dragon Dogma's original release. Since then, it's been near radio silence from Capcom, who'll no doubt be disappointed with the leaking of the game's release date ahead of their showcase livestream.
Nevertheless, fans of the series still know very little about the upcoming sequel, and we suspect plenty more will be in store when November 28 rolls around.
