Persona 4 Remake is real and could come to Xbox Game Pass on day one according to leaks. Following the long-awaited Persona 3 remake, called Reload, it was only natural the beloved P4 got one of its own.
So, if you're a Persona fan waiting on 6, you might not be that interested. However, if you were waiting for the return of Chie, Rise, Yosuke, and the rest of the gang, then this leak sounds like a fever dream.
Another Win For Xbox Game Pass?
According to leaker eXtas1s (via Reddit), the Persona 4 Remake is real, as we've mentioned. What’s more, it’s going to be available on Xbox Game Pass Day One.
No further details have been revealed about the remake, but for now a lot of fans do stand by the leaker as having been pretty reliable when it comes to Xbox Game Pass leaks in the past. Plus, after the release of Persona 3 Reload, it would make sense for Atlus to go on and make a remake for the next game in the franchise.
It is worth noting that an enhanced version of the game was released in the form of Persona 4 Golden back in 2012, with a port releasing for modern consoles in the 2020s. There has yet to be a remake on the same level as P3 Reload though.
Where’s Persona 6?
With the recent release of Persona 5 Tactica and Persona 3 Reload, a lot of fans have been hoping for Atlus to deliver Persona 6 finally, but so far, there haven’t been any updates on the game. One fan in the comments writes, “At this rate, we're going to end up with a Persona 5 remake before Persona 6 is announced.”
If Capcom and the Resident Evil remakes could be used as an example, it could be possible that Atlus is following their strategy when it comes to remakes and mainline releases. Sure there could be a Persona 6 underway, but while that’s in development, fans can look forward to a remake of a classic game, which should be easier to develop since a lot of foundations have already been set in place.
With the last release being a remake though, it’s safe to say that fans are expecting the next mainline entry to be announced since it was back in 2016 when Persona 5 was released.
A Persona 4 Remake hasn’t been officially announced.
