Has Ultron’s Release Date for Marvel Rivals been Leaked?

Emma Frost may have started the launch of Season 2 of Marvel Rivals, but fans know that Ultron is on his way as well.

It’s been confirmed that he’s going to arrive halfway throughout the season, but it’s possible that we finally have a release date for him as well as the reveal of a new map.

According to @CultureCrave, Ultron is expected to come to the game on May 30, and what’s more, he’ll also be coming with the drop of a new map called Arakko—a location that’s considered to be the sister island of the mutant nation of Krakoa.

While this all seems like legitimate news from a legitimate source, some are led to doubt the information since insider Miller Ross—whose been making official Marvel Rivals reveals for the game—had commented “Source?” on the post; leading some to question just how accurate the news was.

If anything, it does line up with a post that Ross made earlier this month about Ultron, claiming that he was going to be arriving to Marvel Rivals late in May. May 30 may as well be a legitimate date.

What Do We Know about Marvel Rivals' Ultron So Far?

Ultron was a character that was leaked way before the Fantastic Four was even announced for Marvel Rivals, so fans know a lot about him. Data miners have confirmed that he’s a strategist character, and that he makes use of his Ultron drones to either cause damage and heal allies.

Of course, this has been months since development, so it’s possible that NetEase could have changed a few things here and there, depending on how much the meta has changed since they dropped a bunch of new characters like the Fantastic Four and Emma Frost.

What Comes Next

For now, the release of Ultron is the farthest update fans can see when it comes to official announcements, but if leaks are to be believed, it’s possible that Season 3 could finally see the arrival of Blade and maybe even Deadpool. Several other heroes have been data-mined like X-Men characters and obscure villains like Paste-Pot Pete, but it’s best to think their fates are all up in limbo until NetEase announces them.

It wouldn’t hurt to release a Yelena Belova skin for Black Widow to hype up The Thunderbolts* though. Even a Red Guardian skin for Captain America would be great.

No official release date has been announced for Ultron, but he is expected to come to Marvel Rivals sometime in the middle of the second season. Marvel Rivals is currently playable for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC.
